Balancing Technological Progress with Torah Commitment
Question: How can we balance embracing technological progress with maintaining our commitment to Torah and mitzvot? Answer: Technology is a tool from Hashem to enhance Torah dissemination and observance, not to replace them. We should use innovations like the internet and social media to make Torah wisdom more accessible, while ensuring these tools do not lead us to disregard the eternal relevance of Torah principles. Technologies should serve as platforms for new Torah insights, grounded in the immutable guidelines from Har Sinai. As the Chazon Ish noted, we cannot adopt new methodologies that conflict with our Mesorah. Our primary purpose is fulfilling the Torah and connecting with Hashem through mitzvot. While technology offers new ways to learn and observe, we must ensure it does not detract from genuine Torah study, prayer, and spiritual growth, nor should it compromise our commitment to eternal values.
