Being Careful Not To Miss Mitzvos While One Involved in Community Service? Laws of Yom Tov 37-20 https://youtu.be/DNoFba1Bfx8 Discover how the Torah views community service and the unique halachic rules that apply to those who dedicate their lives to public needs. Join Rabbi Lev Leib Lerner as he explores a fascinating teaching from Pirkei Avos regarding individuals who work tirelessly for the community. In this video, Rabbi Lev Leib Lerner addresses a profound question about the responsibilities and exemptions of community leaders and public workers. Based on Pirkei Avos, the discussion delves into the halachic principle that someone who is busy with communal needs is exempt from certain mitzvos, yet receives a tremendous reward. We examine how this applies to daily obligations like Shema and tefillin, the special blessing recited on Shabbos morning for those who sustain the community, and how balancing communal responsibility works in modern times. Gain a deeper appreciation for the heavy burden and spiritual merit of communal leadership. May all those who toil for the public good be blessed with strength and success in their sacred work. — What are the halachos of community service in Torah law?
