According to Lerner, Bulochnik's tale exposed the disdain that some Chabadniks harbor towards other religious Jews, particularly the Satmar Hasidic sect. Lerner described how Bulochnik mocked a Satmar rabbinical board seeking to hire a Chabadnik doctor, portraying them as pompous and hypocritical for their strict adherence to traditional garb like shtreimels and kaftan coats. He accused Bulochnik of suggesting that only Chabadniks are true Hasidim, dismissing others like the Litvaks as "garbage" in their eyes. Rabbi Lerner criticized this messianic belief, asserting that for many Chabadniks, being G-d-fearing is seen as disgusting, as many of them place the Rebbe above G-d himself.
