Do Weapons and Armies Ensure Our Safety?

Question: Do we really need weapons and armies to protect us? Answer: No, we do not need weapons or armies for protection; true safety comes from HaKadosh Baruch Hu. Relying on military means shows a lack of faith in Hashem. Historically, our victories have been granted by Hashem, not by military strength. Believing that weapons or technology will win wars is a mistake. What is necessary is more Torah study and repentance. If we were all committed to these, the Mashiach would arrive, ending war. Our need for physical weapons reflects our spiritual failings. Even advanced weapons are ineffective without Hashem's blessing. True protection and peace will come from increasing our devotion to Torah and committing to full teshuvah.
