While the Torah says HaShem hates the wicked in many verses, the Sages say the reality is that HaShem loves their infinite potential. In a single moment, anyone can make the conscious decision to stop sinning and become a baal teshuva, reaching a profound spiritual height that even the purely righteous cannot attain.
