Heaven is a place of eternal pleasure and hell a place of eternal punishment. The worst sin is wasting seed, and other major sins include violating Shabbat and murder. Doing mitzvot can help atone for sins and lead to a better afterlife. Jews who keep Shabbat are considered righteous and protected by God, while non-Jews who keep the seven Noahide laws are considered righteous gentiles.
