Prioritizing Torah Over Politics for Jews
Question: What should be our primary focus as Jews instead of being overly focused on elections and politics? Answer: As a Rabbi, I stress that our main focus should be on Torah study and serving Hashem, rather than politics. Overemphasis on political figures like Donald Trump or Bibi Netanyahu can distract us from who truly controls the world - HaKadosh Baruch Hu. It's concerning that many Jews are more familiar with politicians than with Parashat HaShavua. True aid for Am Yisrael lies in Torah and mitzvot, not in political, military, or financial endeavors. Salvation comes through Torah. Instead of engaging with news or political debates, we should devote our time to studying Tehillim, learning Torah, and assisting others in teshuva. This will foster genuine unity among our people, unlike the superficial unity formed around secular causes. Torah is essential to life, much like breathing; it's not optional but necessary for living. Prioritizing politics over Torah repeats historical mistakes, as seen pre-Holocaust in Germany. We must focus on what truly matters - serving Hashem and studying His Torah.
